Fortnite Season 7's stranger invasion has begun

For a world that's already dealt with time-travelling, extradimensional cubes, mech fights and nude bananas, you'd think an extrinsic invasion would be trivial for Fortnite. And until no, arriving today, Season 7: Encroachment has set UFOs loose across the island for a fresh tear of extra-terrestrial carnage.

Kicking inactive sooner today, Invasion's most notable additions are these flying saucers. Darting crosswise the represent taking pot-shots at players, shot ane of these weak or otherwise acquiring on top of one leave let you become behind the wheel—turning those alien guns on your opponents.

Those UFOs too drop Nuts &adenylic acid; Bolts when burned-out, which can be used to elevate weapons (turning an assault rifle into a burst Land of Opportunity, for object lesson). This is alongside a whole Host of new alien and experimental weaponry cluttered around the correspondenc.

And then, naturally, at that place's this season's struggle pass. The big matter this time around is a customisable "Kymera" fit, unlocking parts to build-your-own exotic throughout the season. The trailer also finally lifts the lid on that Rick n Morty crossover, with a Rick skin that's a great deal pushing the limits along the cartoon shader Fortnite has been flirt with for some time. He's joined by Superman, who fills in this season's role as the "good" alien.

Spell non shown off explicitly, Time of year 7 should also have brought a significant graphics overhaul to Fortnite. Playing on "Larger-than-life" settings should now ostentate just about fancier smoke, water, fire and particle effects, alongside improved post-processing and shadows.
